We do all routine and advanced MRI studies, including:
Arthrograms of the shoulders, HIPS and knees
MRI-Guided Breast Biopsy
Complete abdominal, breast, pelvic and musculo-skeletal imaging
Complete neuro imaging including diffusion
MRCP (pancreatic imaging)
For some MRI studies a contrast material called gadolinium may be injected into a vein to help improve the information seen on the MRI images. A gadolinium-based contrast agent does not contain iodine and therefore rarely causes an allergic reaction or other problems.
However, if you have a history of kidney disease, kidney failure, kidney transplant, liver disease, or other conditions you must inform us before receiving gadolinium. Gadolinium is cleared from your system in approximately 24 hours.
